A group project required students to create a space of "mental reprieve" for a vulnerable university student demographic. My group chose the LGBTQIA+ community.
We designed a pavilion with an organic language to mirror the natural essence of LGBTQIA+ identity. Stained glass panels bathe visitors in vibrant hues resembling the pride flag. A coffee stand for a queer-owned coffee shop located in a nearby historically LGBTQIA+ neighborhood has been incorporated to bridge the campus with the larger community in the city. Below is an image of our final board, as well as a gallery of renderings.
